wow, I am surprised... it timed out after 2.5 minutes, but since it has been running for over an hour now... yea!
Added: had a glitch at 1:14, but it fixed quick enough.

Uh huh- then what? Get our neighboring countries to do the same?
I guess it's a good thing that I've given up hope that America will give up it's gun obsession.
Since as you say, there are no possible solutions.

If this is the iPhone of houses, I guess my house is the Zune of houses. Or perhaps a 1st Gen nano . . . old, small, and ugly.
heyy... the 1st nano still looks pretty sweet. use mine on a regular basis.

Well, they did steal over $1000 worth of stuff. Thats a big deal in my book when I only make $10,000 a year and that I'm in college. I know what you are saying but its still crappy for someone to even steal $100 worth of stuff from you.
It's crappy that someone would steal anything from you. The feeling of having something taken from you is an unmeasurable price in itself.
Back in our old house we had a bike stolen, my grandfather (who was about 70 at the time) fought off some Spanish muggers whilst on holiday too. That really shook him up and nothing was taken from him!

Why is it that Google always touts how open is so good, then they realize that, oh, guess we should tighten things up a bit, maybe being too open is not such a good thing.

I wish Ubuntu went with Gnome 3 over Unity. Fedora is great but it is more "free" than Ubuntu as Fedora includes fewer/no? proprietary drivers by default so it is a little bit more work to get running on some hardware.
I like fedora, but I agree with you 100%, its a pain to upgrade because it requires a lot of tweaking to get it to work on my system. I went with an nividia GPU not only to make my desktop hackintoshable but also so I can download the the proprietary drivers. ATI linux support is pathetic. Still even with the drivers, I have to work at tweaking the system to get it working the way I want it too.

Too bad you cannot scare the snot out of the kid, on camera.
Shows up with camera crew...
"Microsoft Prize patrol, do you have an XBox 360? Can you show it to me"
Types stuff into handheld...
"Do you own this machine?"
Types stuff into handheld...
"Oh, sorry ... you cannot collect a prize with this XBox 360 -- the serial number has it listed as a murder weapon, and the owner is a likely suspect."
I like it. Think I'll try it tomorrow. :-)

Your minutes and seconds are thus never reset, so your "timer" is never reset (this is completely a seperate issue from NSTimer, hence why I say you probably don't understand the scope of NSTimer. It has no knowledge of these variables and thus doesn't reset them when you invalidate myTimer or newTimer).
That has been pointed out. The OP is stuck thinking the timer is broken, when it works exactly as it should. I think the OP thinks that those variables are part of the timer. He also first thought "self" was the timer. I asked if/where he was resetting the seconds, and if he wanted a reset function or not. For all we know, he wants a start stop timer that doesn't reset. That would be a normal implementation.
Also, could you please post a screenshot of your Interface Builder associations ? (under File's Owner, the tab in Inspector with all the Outlets and Actions), because I can't quite figure out what buttons are tied to what actions.
That would be very helpful. Also, explain how you want the program to act as the user uses it.
You also still have 2 timers. Why do you believe you need both ? Have you tried simplifying the code to using only 1 ?
He was told elsewhere that he could not reuse a timer. I think he is still stuck on the concept (not necessarily the definition) of a pointer, and of the life-cycle of an object. I'm not sure he grasps that in the posted samples, the NSTimer was not being reused.
None of these are trick questions, It's me trying to understand what you think this code should do vs what it's actually doing. Now, if you don't answer my questions, I can't really help you here short of writing the code for you, which does not help you learn (I have a good idea how to make the code I wrote last night do what you want to do very quickly, but I doubt you can afford me as a consultant at my exorbitant rates!).
I have some code to post to help the OP. But for not, I'm about to get a parking ticket, so I have to leave. But I will post it today.

my question is what would you have McDonalds employees do.
You are asking teenagers to get involved in a fight and try to break it up.
Not really something you expect the average person of the street to do why should teenagers working and McDonalds be any different.
Heck most of the time betting/ fights are over before the brain finishes processing "Is that really happening?" followed by "Should I do anything?" Most of the time they get stuck in an endless loop of not sure what to do and the fight or flight responses takes over.
While the people doing the beating deserve to rot in jail at the same time I would not expect the employees to do anything other than really call the cops. This is one would you expect a person of the street to do something other than really call the cops and it is still over by the time the above loop is completed.
Well I don't know about you but if I saw someone beating the **** out of someone else while I'm working I would certainly get involved. And I would expect the same consideration from others.
If your employed somewhere part of your job is keeping the peace.

According to the new features list for Aperture 1.5
"Run Aperture on any Intel-based Mac. Any desktop, including Mac mini, iMac, and Mac Pro. Or any notebook, including MacBook and MacBook Pro.
"
Just FYI, I'm running Aperture with 17k+ images on an iMac 24" 2.1ghz G5 - sometimes slow, but heck i'm doing it and drooling over the 1.5 update

Apple needs to start working on a new business model while the studios are still suing their customers and the TV boom is still on. If they dont they're going to be beaten overseas. Enough with the legal rhetoric damn it, evolve your business model or you'll lose.

Your laws ARE perverted (meaning they are not fair and serve only greed).
Just like our laws are perverted in many of our states, yours in your tiny country has a worse effect. After all, you still don't matter in the grand scheme of things...
And sooner or later, Apple will leave you, then you won't be able to buy anything from iTunes...
I think you should look up the word 'perverted' before you use it in this context.
The laws are there to protect the 'user', and there is nothing wrong with that, this case is the same as the case against M$, Apple have an unfair advantage over any other producer of media players, media from iTMS will only play on iTunes or on an iPod, which is what this whole case is about.

See he gets it!!!!
He is one of the few people who (if he lives in Scandinavia, needs to be granted amnesty, and sent to a happier place!) actually understands how it is there...
He is telling the truth, but I didn't want to bring up the suicidal rates in those countries and how the youth is just rotting away... But hey, now that he did...
I am sure they don't spend their money on iPods or iTunes, but rather crack and weed... After all their lives suck... so...
OOOOkkkeeyyyy...
First of all, I do live in Sweden. (born and bred). Secondly, my comment shouldn't be taken too seriously.
I don't know where are from, but my guess is that you never been close to scandinavia. If you had done some traveling you would know that all countries have to live with their own moronic politicians for better or worse.

The 23" display is now $999
The 30" display is now $1999
Apple could fill that $1000 hole with a nice 26" cinema display. It would be perfect in our household.
Are there "25-27" LCDs out there that Apple could sell for say $1499? Has Dell or HP filled this hole yet?
