The Government of Indonesia to provide assistance of two milliondollars or about Rp18 billion to Japan hit by earthquake and tsunami.
“Indonesia to provide aid worth two million dollars to Japan to helpemergency conditions by the earthquake and tsunami and it is stillpossible to provide greater assistance” said Foreign Minister MartyNatalegawa in Jakarta on Wednesday (16/3/2011) as quoted by Metro TV.
Help is still for temporary disaster emergency for post-disasterphase such as for construction and development still has the potentialto be given.
This was conveyed in a press conference accompanied by Japanese ViceForeign Minister Makiko Kikuta visiting Indonesia to attend the ASEANRegional Disaster Relief Forum (ARF DIREX) in Manado and the meeting ofthe Metropolitan Priority Area (MPA) in Jakarta.
